The Hall of Fame League was established in 1995 as free computer simulation baseball league that allows members to become owners, general managers, and managers of their own baseball team. Virtually any player in the history of major league baseball may be selected to play in the HoFL.

The Hall of Fame League was founded by Aidan Shealy and Bill Haigh, who has since passed away. His team, the Long Island Sounds continue in the league through this day.

The Hall of Fame League is currently comprised of a 48 franchise super league. Each owner has two teams in their franchise, a Major League and Minor League team.
